Raymond Dattilo, principal investigator, St. Francis Health Middle, Topeka, Kansas No. Cezar Staniloae, principal investigator, NYU Medical Center, New York ‘Creating a new standard of look after patients with PAD begins with obtaining quality scientific and economic data,’ stated David L. Martin, president and ceo of CSI. Our commitment to data-driven results will support physicians as they make ideal treatment decisions for his or her patients with PAD.8 % of those treated with balloon angioplasty . Principal treatment in the orbital arm was followed by low-pressure balloon inflation, as the physician’s standard process for balloon therapy was used in the choice arm.To better understand survival factors among this human population, Manley, lead author Pratiti Bandopadhayay, MBBS, PhD, of Dana-Farber/Boston Children's, and their collaborators analyzed Surveillance, Epidemiology and FINAL RESULTS data from the National Malignancy Institute on more than 4,000 patients diagnosed with pediatric low-quality gliomas between 1973 and 2008. Eighteen % of the individuals in the cohort received radiation as part of their treatment. Overall the prognosis for children with low-grade gliomas is quite good, with five – and 10-year survival prices approaching 90 %. Manley and his colleagues found little drop-off in survival at 20 years post-treatment, with almost 90 % of pediatric survivors alive still.
